ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM

fiction short film - 2025 - 15 minutes

At an art exhibition, the heavily overweight brother of the artist falls asleep. People freak out over what to do with him.

Gilles celebrates his thirty-fifth birthday with the finissage of his exhibition of contemporary nude photography. His heavily overweight brother Fred falls asleep drunk on a couch in the back room. After he is woken up by Gilles and realizes that someone has painted “Art has no borders” on the back of his head, he pretends to be unconscious in front of the party guests - which in turn sets off a cascade of rescue attempts and he is ultimately evacuated from the exhibition by a fire department crane.
